Tacoma Placenta Encapsulation Options
The Raw Start – Unsteamed method of encapsulation*
These capsules have a higher hormone content and a higher microbial count. Some people find them very powerful, so the effects can be managed by the number of pills taken. This method yields more capsules then steamed. Raw start is dehydrated at a temperature of 160 degrees for 12-14 hours
$300
The Traditional steamed method of encapsulation*
The placenta is steamed before dehydration. These capsules have a lower microbial count and may be suitable when someone is GBS positive. This method yields less capsules then raw. They have a lower hormone concentration so they may be preferred by those who are very sensitive to hormones or by those who follow Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The tincture is be done with just a small piece of your placenta and is an add on to placenta encapsulation. It is a great option for when your placenta pills run out. How Does Placenta Encapsulation Work?
Process in my pet & smoke free space
I pick up the placenta from your birth place. Each placenta is processed one at a time according to the strict process set by the APPA. No other placenta is started until the first one is complete and in the clients hands. My space and tools are sanitized, and wrapped in clean plastic sheeting before each encapsulation and sanitized again after encapsulation. I drop your finished products off at your home 2-4 days later and take time to instruct you how to use them.

Researched Based Information on Placenta Encapsulation
There are no quality human studies on the benefits of placenta encapsulation, at this time. By quality, I mean randomized, controlled, double-blind trials on the effects of placenta consumption in humans. What does exist are many animal studies show the benefits of placental consumption in mammals.
For the time being, the evidence for the benefits of placentophagy (placenta consumption) is anecdotal. However, the reports from the many people who have ingested their placentas are overwhelmingly positive. Here is the information about placentophagy that we do have:
- Placenta contains 24% of your daily Iron (Young et al.)
- Consuming processed placenta after birth appeared to increase the milk supply of 86.2% of study participants (Soykova-Pachnerva et al. 617)
- In traditional Chinese medicine, encapsulated placenta is used to treat low milk supply (Beacok 466)
- Placenta contains the hormone cortisol which may help with postnatal depression (Young et al.) (Discover)
- Placenta contains the hormone allopregnanolone (ALLO). Synthetic ALLO is one ingredient in the new medication to treat postpartum depression (Almeida et al.)
I was trained and certified with the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts. What this means is that I have had over 40 hours of training that included, tests, essays, presentations and encapsulation. This is so that I can bring you the safest, highest quality product available.
